Form News The time is 8:58am and the distinguished assemblage of PHHS's 12C can be seen wandering into their home room where the plan of action for the day is laid out by Tom Cressey and Ted Rowden on how to avoid handing in those Chemistry notes (due last week). Dave Gerow and John Roche busy themselves discussing last nite's 'Shindig Spectacular.' A steady hum can be audibly noticed coming from the central portion of the room where Betty Campbell, Leigh McMann, Nancy Record, Jeanette Tozer, Harriette Wakely and Joan Tharme can be seen madly checking homework to see that it isn't identical (to prevent GGG from thinking that copying has apparently broken out again.) Les Gifford, Tom Gifford and Dave Manley are contentedly humming the official 12C theme song, the 'Addams Family Theme Song' applauded by Keith Vanhinsburg, David Graham and Fred Hughes. All this has apparently gone on while Mrs Quinn has been imploring silence for the 'Lord's Prayer.' Finally Shirley Anderson and Donna Foster appear at the door and are unconcerned about the rabble that has broken out between Rodger Goss and David Mills. It seems that Rodger insists on showing Dave the latest neck lock that Rodger and Rod Brown have developed. Rodney repeatedly points out it was his idea (he being the brains of the trio), threatening to increase the rates for a ride downtown after school from 10¢ to 15¢. John Bell replies with, "Well I'd rather walk anyway." Ann Marie and Sandra Drinkwalter are sitting nearby relishing the joke they've pulled on Mr Match, "We've fooled him this time, we got all the homework questions last night, tra-la-la-la." At about this time Mrs Quinn begins her never-ending battle to keep her 12C aware of the literary development of PHHS and the outside world. Meanwhile Doreen Dubeau contemplates her future image in life as an exotic mystic femme, while staring out the window. Brian Babando leans across the aisle and complains, "But, I can't get the Old Saturday nite's." This about rounds up the typical beginning of a fascinating day in the life of 12C, except for the writer of this little recount who is - you guessed it - absent. D Boughen |
