Form News As the 9:00am bell rings, 28 12A's stand to say the Lord's Prayer. Donna ('my bus was late') Wootton, also Blue 'n' White editor, and David (I had trouble with my locker) Trew come in late and make 30. Criticism of the weekend hockey games finds Ron Kinsey and his Black Hawks making excuses while Brian Henley, Tom Hodgson (BAA rep), Chris Taul and yours truly congratulate themselves on the Maple Leaf's exploits (and that's a fact!) After the announcements comes our favourite subject with our favourite home room teacher (he's the only one we have), History with Mr Roberts. Here Susan Reisler finds that doing homework isn't merely writing it down. Joan Wakely, Bonnie Corbett, Ursula Probst, Marg Berry and Sue Gifford are shown that it pays to do their homework. After his brief strike Hector Cowan came back an encyclopaedia of history and it amazes me how pushing carts can help you learn reasons for German Unification. Well the bell finally rings and Meredith Jemmett has just completed her bookkeeping. She walks out with Pam Long planning some trip to the World's Fair. We now go into Room 220 with Mr Wilson for English. How does he always manage to pick questions to which Edgar Eley doesn't know the answer? Donna Baptist, Dorothy Elliott and Mary McCaw always have a gab session in this class; Marilyn Lester was included in this group until she moved to Napanee; in the background Judy Meraw and Penny Sweet are planning something; Erwin Lang comes up with his usual brilliant answers; Cathy Langdon (the Lady) David Gray and Allan Drinkwalter have donated their musical knowledge and talents many times; and Nancy Gould sleeps on. We have an abundance of silent ones. Margaret Benn, Sharon Clarke and Ann Harness are ours. Well I hope you have liked us. Perhaps we haven't been the angels of last year but we still come up with the marks when the chips are down. Bob Morris |
