There were approximately twelve hundred dollars spent on new books in the last year. Major additions this year included an Encyclopedia of Art published by McGraw, Hill and Company, and the newest editions of the Encyclopedia Britannica, a gift from that company, and a set of the Junior Britannica.
With the new system of cataloguing in effect, the library seems to run much more smoothly and our circulation shows a definite increase: the average monthly circulation for '59-'60 was 325 books. The library staff consisted of Jane Wilson, Maxine Bull, Mary Lawson, Dayle Hoskin, Cathy Raynor, Joan May, Johanna Zweerink, Suzanne Finnie, Eudora Highfield, Anita Doody and Jean Raynor under the direction of Mr K A McLean.
We all appreciate the fine work done by this very capable staff and thank them for their efforts in room No 115.
