Form News

Dear Students:
For the grade niners this has been their first year in PHHS and a new experience. You have been used to the easy life in Public School but now we face the difficult years of high school. There was a new way of teaching, changing of classes and quite a number of teachers to listen to.
The subjects one took provide interest and of course little mishaps. French was one class where little attention was given, but everyone paid the consequences. Then there was a more pleasant topic, Physical Health Education, which all threw themselves into with enthusiasm. An exception to this was the day the boys had to dance with the girls. A proof for this was that Mike Greenaway climbed the wall to get the basketball out of the rim but his knee was too sore to dance.
The class of 1959-1960 is a good class to remember for 9B'ers. We had some good times together. Now it comes time to tell you about this great class.

LARRY AUSTIN - certainly proved to be a clown of the class and couldn't keep his notes in order.
JIM BRIAND - was the boy who was pleased just to pass his exams.
JANICE BRISTOW - the little penguin who liked to know what was always going on around her.
JUDY BRISTOW - the twin of Janice and the girl who topped everyone at Christmas with her marks.
JEAN COUPLAND - a nice quiet girl who should have done her homework every night.
JOHN DERKX - the boy who just loved to get up in English classes and make speeches.
JANE DOUGLAS - is the girl who wants to become a hairdresser but can't seem to find any clients to work on.
BUD ELLIOTT - the farm boy who could recite anything about the farm that you wanted to know.
WAYNE ELLIOTT - no relation to Bud although he too is a farm boy at heart.
MIKE GREENAWAY - was our Boys' AA Rep and well chosen because of his many abilities (in sports I mean).
PAT HUFFMAN and JANICE JAMES - had lots of fun planning parties of their own in BP. Janice was also chosen as the Girls' AA Rep.
DAVID KEMLO - has been heard of as quite a ladies' man, but one thing for sure he was our form rep for the Blue 'n' White.
MILLIE McELROY - was the girl who loved to do math.
SHARON McGAHEY - was the girl who liked both fun and work but several times she seemed to get them mixed.
LARRY MOORE - the boy who loved to cause a disturbance during French class.
SANDY MOORE - was our rep for the Students' Council and came second at Christmas.
SHIELA NIXON - was the girl who just had to leave the room every period (to take a pill she claims).
BOB OSLAND - the lucky lad who was chosen to call out the numbers for Bingo in French.
ANN ROBINSON - was the girl who always gave you the impression that if you got in her way she would pick a fight.
RAY SHERIDAN - was certainly a fresh air boy, for every morning he opened the windows.
KEN SMITH - at one time had a crush on someone in our class. I wonder who?
SANDRA WILBY - the girl who had no interest in the opposite sex.
MIKE WILTON - the boy who was noted the one most likely to be been telling jokes instead of working.
ELDEN WOODMAN - the boy who never believed in doing any homework.
REGINALD WORR - was classed as the midget of 9B and had quite a time trying to sit on the stools in the science labs.
MISS POCHON - last but not least was our home room teacher who was constantly correct.
Now that you know everybody you can plainly see what kind of year this has been for us. All the little mishaps and experiences have added to make this a wonderful year.

Yours truly, Dave and Sandy
