Wesleyville Church and Sunday School had a very large congregation in the 1930 - 1960s. We were fortunate to have good Sunday School teachers, dedicated to teaching their pupils, including Mrs. Percy Snell (Violet Langman); Mrs. Edgar Barrowclough (Edna Hill); Mrs. Arnold Austin (Mabel Woolacott); Mrs. Harold Austin (Verna Tufford); Mrs. Murray Payne (Jean Duff); Mrs. Clarence Nichols (Dora Anderson); Muriel Austin (married Ross Cornelius); Marie Austin (married John D. 'Jack' Fraser) and Pearl Austin (married Donald Cann). Edna, Jean and Dora were young ladies who had come to Wesleyville as Public School teachers and ended up marrying local men to our good fortune.
Clarence Nichols, Murray Payne, Truman Austin and George Tufford were some of the teachers for the boys' classes, and also served as Sunday School Superintendents.
Mrs. Harold 'Kip' Reeve (Florence Bennett) and Mrs. Carroll Nichols (June Shields) were our main Musical leaders. June also taught numerous local children to play the piano and sing.
Fritz Theysmeyer and John Groeneveld were our main Choir leaders.
