OLD PORT HOPER DIES IN TORONTO
Late Hugh Walker Was Former Prominent Port Hope Business Man
Hugh Walker, prominent Port Hope business man, died in Toronto on Thursday evening, November 8th, at 93 Soudan Ave. and he will be laid to rest here. He was in his 83rd year.
Deceased was born in Cobourg and came to Port Hope at an early age and for over thirty years was a partner in the Furniture and Undertaking business of Walker Bros. Some four years ago he moved to Toronto to reside with his son.
He was the husband of the late Mary Willcock, who predeceased him a few years ago. The late Mr. Walker was a Conservative in politics and was connected with the former Methodist and now United Church.
Deceased was one of the oldest members of the I00F Lodge No. 78, Port Hope and for forty years was Treasurer of the Lodge. He was also a Past Grand.
Three daughters, Mrs. H. McCaughey, Vancouver, Mrs. Alex. Innis, Cleveland, Ohio, and Lola of Toronto, and one son, Percy of Toronto, are left to mourn his passing. Three brothers, William, George and James of Port Hope also survive.
The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon from the Undertaking Parlours of Messrs Jex and Smith, Ontario Street with interment at the Port Hope Union Cemetery.

WALKER—At 93 Souden Ave., Toronto, on Thursday, Nov. 8th, Hugh Walker, beloved husband of the late Mary Will[c]ock, aged 82 years.
The funeral service will be held at the Funeral Apartments of Jex & Smith, on Saturday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock.
Interment at Union Cemetery.

Hugh Walker Was Buried at Union Cemetery Saturday Afternoon
The funeral of the late Hugh Walker, former prominent Port Hope business man, who died in Toronto, was held from the Undertaking Parlours of Messrs Jex and Smith on Saturday afternoon. Rev. G. A. Sisco of the Port Hope United Church conducted the services. Following were the pall bearers:-
Fred Rosevear, Chas. Roberts, E. Wainman, F. H. Brown, W. T. Greenaway and George Smith of Cobourg.

WALKER - At Port Hope on Tuesday, April 24th, 1928, Rachel Leonard, beloved wife of James Walker, in her 74th year. The funeral service will be held at the family residence, Bloomsgrove avenue, on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment at St. John's Cemetery.

OBITUARY
MRS. JAMES WALKER
Mrs. James Walker, lifelong resident of Port Hope passed away at the family residence, Bloomsgrove Ave., Tuesday evening after a lengthy illness. The deceased's maiden name was Rachel Leonard and she was in her 74th year.
The late Mrs. Walker lived her entire life in Port Hope and her many friends will be sorry to learn of her death. In religion she was a devout Anglican.
Left to mourn her passing are two daughters, Mrs. S. Brooks of Hamilton and Mrs. F. Meyers of Zelienpole, Pa., and one son Jack of Welland. One sister, Mrs. W. Henderson of Toledo and one brother, W. Leonard of Detroit, also survive.
The funeral will be held from the family residence, Bloomsgrove Ave., on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with interment at St. John's Cemetery.
