A GOOD VAUDEVILLE SHOW.
PATTEN AND PERRY'S 'JERRY FROM KERRY' AT THE ACADEMY.
The Patten and Perry musical farce comedy company and vaudeville show held the boards at the Academy last night. There was only a fair attendance, caused no doubt by the warm weather. The performance throughout was excellent, and all present had good laughs and enjoyed the various features of the show immensely.
The Patten and Perry band rendered "A Hunt in the Black Forest" in splendid style. The Gibbs sisters - Margie and Lulu - tots about 9 or 10 years of age, simply captured the audience with their singing and dancing, their sand dance being particularly good. Campbell and Fletcher, the comedy acrobats, performed some good as well as amusing feats, and their work was fully appreciated by the audience. Major Caillouette received round after round of applause for his slack wire performance, he introducing many up-to-date juggling acts while balancing himself on the slack wire. His baton manipulation received well-earned applause.
The Perrys, G. H. and Miss Lizzie, gave a splendid presentation of a refined character change dramatic sketch entitled, "The Newsboy." They kept the audience amused during their entire performance.
The Three Pattens presented their latest comedy creation entitled "Jerry from Kerry," introducing several high class musical novelties.
Dick Mitchell, a rural comedian, and Billy Gibbs, the eccentric comedian, were also well received.
The performance ended with a comedy entitled "An Editor's Troubles."
The show will be presented again to-night and to-morrow afternoon and evening.
The concerts by the band are greatly enjoyed by the public, and the band has been pronounced as the best with a show in years. They give concerts at the Academy at 7:30 each evening, and at 2 p.m. to-morrow before the matinee.

A Funny Show Billed Here Next Monday Night.
The funmakers, Patten and Perry, will offer that funny farce comedy and vaudeville attraction, "Jerry from Kerry," at Elks' theater on Monday evening, Feb. 26.
This piece of comedy in considered to be one of the best on the road.
The company numbers 20 people, and among the top liners will be seen the three, John, Eunice and George, in their comedy act, "Jerry from Kerry;" Campbell and Fletcher, the comedy acrobats, in many new acrobatic feats; the Perrys, George and Jennie, in a refined sketch, "The Newsboy;" Major Caillouette, slack wire artist and juggler, who rldes a wheel on the wire; Mr. Dick Mitchell in a new rube act, entitled "Mr. Rube from Vermont;" the Florence Sisters, Lizzie and Hazel, in an up-to-date dancing and singing act; "An Editor's Troubles," which introduces all of the company.
This company also carries its own superior uniformed concert band and orchestra.
