William W Williamson (1833-1926) was born in Peterhead, Scotland and came to Port Hope from Smith's Falls, Ontario in 1875. He ran a book store on Walton Street that was later carried on by his son William Clark Williamson (1858-1956). William Sr published many little books over the years, including this volume in honour of Joseph Scriven.
